I find many of us spend tonnes of time pinning various projects, recipes, fitness routines etc… to our boards, but never follow through on the projects. Recently, I have made a point to actually tackle some of the project ideas that I have pinned. Here are the results from one of my first Pinterest inspired projects.

For starters I would like to credit my inspiration pin: Sew in Love: Halloween Wreath. I encourage you to check her awesome post out as she has many useful tips and tricks in her tutorial. Since her tutorial is pretty good, I am just going to leave you with some of my own tips from the process of creating this wreath.

Supplies:
1 x Foam wreath form (Michaels)
2 x Black feather boas (I recommend checking out your local dollar store for the best price!)
5 x Glitter pumpkin floral picks (clip off the stick portion of the floral pick) (Michaels)
1 x Hot glue gun and lots of hot glue sticks!!! (Canadian Tire)
An assortment of medium and large plastic baubles (I used two containers of the larger size and two of the smaller size with a few baubles to spare) (Michaels)
Floral wire (Michaels)
Kitchen shears or wire clippers

I found this pin over a year ago. Most of the supplies were fairly easy to find with the exception of the glitter jack-o-lanterns. This is where I had to get creative. After much searching I finally settled on some glitter floral picks from Michaels in orange and purple.

Method:

1. Glue the start of your boa to the back of your foam wreath. Begin wrapping your wreath form with your first boa. Periodically use hot glue to ensure a secure wrapping. Glue down the end of the first boa and repeat the process with your second boa. Since I used a fairly large wreath form, I was just able to get by with two boas. With smaller wreath forms you can wrap the boa more closely which will ensure that no gaps poke through. **This portion of the project can get a bit messy with bits of boa falling off as you handle it. Prepare to vacuum after this stage and be careful if you have pets or young children.**

2. Begin figuring out your desired arrangement. I didn't want my wreath to be overly "perfect" but still wanted it to flow nicely. Once you have figured out your first few baubles you can begin wrapping and gluing down your baubles and jack-o-lanterns. I threaded the floral wire through the baubles, placed a dab of glue on the ornament loop and gently pushed the loop into the foam to increase the security of the ornament. I then twisted the two ends of the floral wire together around the back and hid the wire under the boa. I found I was able to thread more than one ornament through the same wire to reduce the time and amount of wire required for the project. Just make sure you have enough time to secure everything before the hot glue dries.

3. For the jack-o-lanterns I just used hot glue to secure them as I don't currently have access to a small drill. I do think it would be best if you were able to thread the floral wire through the back of the foam jack-o-lanterns as suggested in the original blog post for added security.

4. Hang up your creation and enjoy :)

All in all it was a pretty easy project, albeit quite time consuming and some of the materials were trickier to find. The results made the many evenings of gluing and wrapping while watching Downton Abbey on Netflix worth while.

Have you tackled any fun Pinterest inspired projects lately? I'm already working on another and hope to share my results soon! **Hint, you can find my inspiration on my Holiday Inspiration Board.**
While I certainly do not have an enormous collection, I would still like to focus on curating my stash to a collection of products I love to use. Here is a quick overview of some of the products I have used up recently with a brief review of each.

Fruits & Passion: Grapefruit Guava Moisturizing Butter:

This product was part of a travel set that I received as a Christmas gift. The size was perfect for the numerous business trips that I have been on. The scent is lovely and the body butter is delightfully moisturizing. I would definitely re-purchase once I have gone through the rest of my lotion collection.

Fruits & Passion: Orange Cantaloupe Moisturizing Butter:

One of their classic scents, it's been a favourite for years. The scent and consistency are lovely and I would highly recommend it.

The Body Shop: Honey Mania Body Butter:

I have been a fan of The Body Shop's Body Butters for years. They are great for those of us in dry climates who need some extra moisturizing help. I really enjoyed this scent in the spring. It is a nice mix of fruit and floral. I would re-purchase this scent again.

The Body Shop: Mango Body Butter:

Another favourite for me. I have gone through several of these over the years. This is a great fruity option that is not as overpowering as Satsuma for example.

Origins: Make a Difference Rejuvenating Hand Cream:

This was an interesting product for me. To me, this product has a tea-like scent which is certainly different. I have used better hand creams, but I didn't mind this product.

L'Occitane: Shea Butter Hand Cream:

Another product that I have gone through multiple tubes of. I love the size of these as they are perfect for your bag or beside your bed. I find the hand cream to be fairly moisturizing with a decently quick dry down time. This particular product has a fairly neutral scent, but L'Occitane has many scent options available. I am currently using this product and also have the Lavender scented version which I have been enjoying.

Makeup Remover Wipes:

Neutrogena: Moisturizing Make-Up Remover Cleansing Wipes:

I have tried several brands of make-up removing wipes over the years, but I keep coming back to the Neutrogena Moisturizing Make-Up Remover Cleansing Wipes. They are a moderately priced drugstore option that stays moist until the end of the pack. They do a pretty good job of gently removing even the most stubborn eye makeup. As someone who has really sensitive skin, this is one of the few options that has never broken me out. I will continue to re-purchase these and am currently working on another pack.

The Body Shop: Tea Tree Cleansing Wipes:

I really wanted to like these, but unfortunately the Tea Tree oil content in these wipes is just a bit too intense for my sensitive skin. They have a very invigorating, fresh scent which makes you feel really clean. I will not be re-purchasing these wipes, but perhaps if your skin is more oily and acne prone and less sensitive this might be a good option to explore.

Shampoo & Conditioner:

Aussie: Moist Conditioner:

I have used this conditioner for years and keep going back to it. The scent is appealing, and I find it does leave my hair a lot softer than many other inexpensive drugstore options. I will continue to repurchase this product in the future.

Aussie: Aussome Volume Shampoo:

Another Aussie product that I have used consistently throughout the years. Generally Aussie products do well with my hair and don't leave my hair stringy like some shampoos do. I will continue to re-purchase this as well.

Dove:

I picked this up for travelling. The size is certainly convenient, but I still find Aussie products are far better at locking in moisture for my hair texture.

Organix: Nourishing Coconut Milk Conditioner:

Many people seem to be big fans of the Organix brand, but personally this did not live up to the hype for me. The scent is very sweet and reminded me of a buttery peek frean coconut cookie. Additionally, I find the plastic on this style of packaging to be very difficult to squeeze, and as someone who struggles with joint pain in my knuckles, trying to get product out was a huge pain. Furthermore, I really did notice a difference in how soft my hair felt between this product and the Aussie Moist Conditioner. I really wanted to like this, but in the end it just didn't work as well for me. I am unlikely to re-purchase from the Organix brand unless I try out a different formula in easier to use packaging.

Facial Moisturizers:

Neutrogena: Moisture- Oil Free Facial Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin:

I have used various iterations of Neutrogena facial moisturizers since I first started using moisturizer. I have gone through countless bottles over the years and keep coming back. I find all of their oil free moisturizers are quite light and great for sensitive skin. This particular product has a very light neutral scent. I use this product in the morning as my daytime moisturizer and it works wonderfully.

Neutrogena: Healthy Skin Lift & Firm Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15:

More recently I have made the switch to the firming facial moisturizer. The most prominent difference between this formula and the other ones I have tried is the scent. While still being fairly neutral in scent, this product has a slightly more "anti-aging" scent that is just slightly less "clean-smelling" than the other versions. I didn't find it difficult to adjust to this scent and have continued to use and purchase this particular formula.

Since this has turned into a mammoth long post, I am going to carry on with the rest of the reviews on a future blog post.

So, since I have an extended stay outside of my home town, but am not moving here permanently I had to be rather frugal with what beauty products I brought along with me. I thought that my time in Europe would be a great opportunity to really try and use up some of my beauty products as a means of spring cleaning... For the past month or so, I have really been focussing on trying to use stuff up and haven't purchased any new beauty products at all. I don't want to entirely call this a project pan, because I wanted to give myself some flexibility in case I found something really special here that I wouldn't be able to get back home, or if I ran out of an essential product that I cannot live without. Anyways without further ado, here are really quick reviews of some of the products I have used up so far:

1. Equate- Make-Up Removing Cleansing Cloths
I figured I would give these cloths a try since I have still not found the perfect makeup wipe. On the whole I was fairly pleased, but they are definitely not a holy grail product for me.
What I like about them:
-Unlike many of the makeup wipes I have tried so far, these ones stayed moist to the very last cloth, which is super important to me since the whole point of a makeup wipe is to not have to moisten it to get it to work.
-The plastic closure on the pack is far more secure than any of the sticker closures that many makeup removing cloths have. I think the plastic closure is also one of the main reasons that the wipes didn't dry up on me either.

Neutral:
- I think the general performance for these cloths was on par with everything else I have tried so far. They get the job done, but with mascara and longer lasting products you do have to massage it a bit to get everything removed.

What I don't like about them:
- I found the texture of the wipes to be a bit more abrasive than what I am used to. Since I primarily use these around my eyes and have fairly sensitive skin, the somewhat scratchy texture is not the most appealing feature of these cloths.

Final Verdict:
- On the whole they aren't a bad product, but I don't necessarily think I would recommend them... I probably won't end up purchasing these again unless I can't find anything better. In the meantime I will continue to search for the best makeup wipe for me.
Long time no blog I know. What can I say, life has been busy and I haven't really been excited about makeup for a while until recently that is.... I would like to preface this by saying that I have never ever in my entire life gone out and purchased so many of the same product line in such a short span of time. This new line from Revlon has transformed me into some kind of crazed lip butter addict. Seriously it's getting out of control! (I have actually purchased two more shades since I took these photos... see i'm obsessed!) Anyways back to the point, these lip butters are awesome.

As others have mentioned in the gazillion reviews I am sure you have perused already, lip butter is perhaps not the most apt term for these gems. As many have suggested they are more like a sheerer, more moisturizing lipstick which is precisely why I am so freaking obsessed! As i've grown a bit older I have come to be less afraid of lipstick and more annoyed by the inevitability that my hair always finds a way to find itself in my lipgloss. At the same time, I don't always want full blown LOOK AT ME colour on my lips which is why these lip butters suit me so well.

Some might ask why I don't just sheer down an ordinary lipstick, don't get me wrong I have definitely done this before, but it can be a bit of a hassle and depending on the formula of the lipstick you may end up with something that is still not as moisturizing as the Revlon lip butters.

So let's get to the point now. Why am I so crazy for Revlon's Color Burst Lip Butters?

1. They offer a sheerer alternative to lipstick but are still pigmented enough to show up on my lips.

2. The formula is comfortable to wear and glides on easily without being too slippery.

3. The colour selection is actually quite nice and suitable for a wide range of skin tones.

4. The packaging is sturdy yet bright and fun :)

5. They don't have any crazy scent or taste.

6. They aren't frosty!!!! (Not going to lie, I have a serious distain for frosty lipstick)

7. They are relatively affordable and easy to find

The only downside that some people might find is the wear time. Given that the formula is more moisturizing they do not last as long your standard lipstick. Personally I don't really mind having to reapply occasionally but others might want something that is longer lasting. All in all I have really been enjoying this product and seriously need to stop myself from buying up the whole line.

For the Canadian readers out there so far I have tracked them down in Canada at: Wal-Mart, Zellers, Shoppers Drugmart and London Drugs (I am sure they are available elsewhere in Canada by now as well). Wal-Mart was selling them for $7 something, Zellers $9.99 and Shoppers and London Drugs were both around $10.95 so it definitely pays to shop around.

To make a long story short, the Chanel counters where I live are apparently notorious for leaving their coutners unattended and not scheduling staff for the full duration of the Bay's operating hours. As a result, I had to go back several times to acquire this polish which speaks volumes about how much this colour intrigued me. Rant aside the colour is definitely the most appealing element of this polish. I didn't find the formula to be mind blowing (especially for the price) so unless you fall in love with this lovely lemony yellow with a hint of shimmer I would save your money for something else. That being said, I do love love love this shade and think it is quite unique, hence the reason I sprung for this polish.

So, i've kind of been on a bit of a perfume kick for a couple of months now. I thought about purchasing this particular perfume for quite a few months before making the plunge, and managed to get it for an awesome deal while on special at one of the drug stores where I live. Normally I'm not a huge floral person, but I really like this fragrance because it is more of a full bodied floral and not super top note heavy. Before I go any further here is the description from the Michael Kors Website:

"The Eau de Parfum makes its debut with shimmering jewels of mandarin and iced bergamot. Scene-stealing gardenia follows suit with a decadent performance of award-worthy glamour"

Personally I find the most dominating note in this fragrance to be the gardenia which contributes to the very smooth, 'full bodied' nature of the scent, after all as I am sure those of you who have smelled gardenia before will know, it packs a punch while remaining smooth. I think this is a pretty flirty fragrance that is particularly suited for the spring. Although fragrance is a pretty personal thing, I would definitely encourage those who generally don't like florals to give this one a whiff. I would also strongly reccommend this scent to anyone who likes gardenia! On a completely superficial note, I really do like the packaging and colour of this perfume as well. It definitely feels like an indulgence everytime you use this perfume!

As you can probably tell from the photo, I picked up three polishes from the sixteen polish collection. I got Frosty, Jingle Bells and Jolly Holly which I thought were fairly unique and also very festive. All of the holiday polishes this year had a silver handle instead of the tradtitional black. I thought Peace on Earth (which is an olive green shimmer) was also nice, but didn't end up ordering although I might someday if I can get my hands on it.

Frosty: is a white frosty shimmer (just like China Glaze describes it). I didn't have any application issues, the polish itself is somewhat sheer, but personally I think that was kind of the point of this shade. It's a nice wintery alternative to nudes and light pinks for those who like light coloured nail polish. I used two coats of polish in my swatches which are semi-opaque (since you can still see the white part of my nails in some lights/angles) in any event I think it is a nice shade for winter.

Jingle Bells: is described by China Glaze as a champagne shimmer, personally I think this polish leans a bit more gold than they describe it. It is not super finely milled as some shimmer polishes are, but it isn't super chunky either. This polish is a really nice that isn't too blingy (basically it isn't a chrome style polish) or too muted, but rather somewhere in the middle. This polish like frosty is another, albeit warmer alternative to nude or light peach polishes. I also found this polish to last longer than others with very minimal chipping in comparison to other polishes I have worn recently. I would definitely reccommend this shade!

I have since used the entire jar and thus feel like I can make some informed comments on the hair treatment, but first here is how Lush describes H'suan Wen Hua on their website:

"Care for dry hair.
Super-conditioning care to feed your hungry hair. It's LUSH salad dressing for the head; a nutritious treat to make hair more healthy and pleased to be alive!
Nutritional hair treatment.
Avocados are nutritious and softening, balsamic vinegar gives amazing shine, and watercress infusion is exceptionally high in vitamins and increases the tensile strength of the hair.

How to use
Apply generously to dry hair, leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, then shampoo out. Use about a quarter of a pot for short hair, or about half a pot for longer hair. Those with very long hair should use the whole pot. (Yes, it is a lot, but the effects are long lasting and well worth the investment.)"

Before I get too in depth with my review I should say that I personally don't think my hair is particularly dry, however I live in a city that does get very cold, dry and windy, so in the winter my ends do get a bit dry especially since I haven't had a hair cut in a long time (i've been super busy and when I did have a chance to get one I found out that my hair dresser had just gone on vacation for a month!) So with that in mind, I did intially think it would be hard for me to make any serious claims about how much this helped my hair combat dryness.

For the first application I didn't use a huge amount, just enough to cover my hair (probably around a sixth of the jar) which I still thought was a lot (my hair is currently about 2 inches past my shoulders). Like the instructions suggested I left it in my hair for about 20 minutes before shampooing and conditioning my hair like normal. In regards to the after effects of the first application, it wasn't anything spectacular, my hair felt a bit softer but I felt like the change in texture wasn't anything amazing. I used it 2 more times with a bit more product each time, saturating my hair, waiting 20 minutes before washing my hair like normal with similar results, although I would say the condition of my hair did improve a bit with each application. At the very least, it did help my hair against the harsh cold and dry weather which has been particularly damaging to my hair and skin this year. For my last application I put just under half of the jar in my hair. For the final application I also made sure to work it into my scalp really well and left it on a bit longer than usual. I noticed a much greater difference in my hair this time, in the shower my hair felt much softer as I was rinsing it out (similar to the feeling one gets immediately after washing out a really good conditioner, but amplified atleast 2 times), after shampooing and conditioning my hair it still felt softer than usual. The same could be said after I had let my hair air dry (I rarely ever use a hair dryer, it makes my hair too frizzy) and straightened it. With the results of these different applications in mind, I would definitely say that more is better. Massaging the product into the scalp also helped garner better results.

The product itself is fairly strongly scented, definitely not my favourite scent although I think it is hard to describe... to me it kind of had the warmth of the smell of chai, but more savory. When taking a closer look at the ingredients I can definitely smell the balsamic vinegar, olive oil and cinnamon oil (hence the chai esque scent). Personally I wasn't a huge fan of having my hair smelling like this, especially since the scent did linger post shampooing and conditioning. That would be one of the downsides to the product for me, but then again scent is a very personal thing. The product is rather creamy, but still runny enough to coat your hair and scalp without too much difficulty. It is a bit expensive for a hair treatment, so it's probably not something you are going to incorporate into your regular hair routine, but rather something to be used when your hair needs some major help in the moisture department.

On the whole, I did like H'suan Wen Hua but I don't think it is quite a 'holy grail' product if you will. It did make my hair softer for a couple of days after application, but the results were not quite as long lasting as I would have liked. The scent is not my favourite, and since it remains somewhat noticably on the hair for a few days after washing this can be bothersome. I definitely think a very generous application that is massaged into the scalp and left on closer to half an hour yields the best results. For the moment, I think I might try out some other products to see if they can help add moisture to my ends while waiting for my hair dresser to get back in the country before trying this out again.

So a while back I had a pretty sizeable nail polish haul, and sadly I still haven't had a chance to wear all the colours and swatch them. So my goal for 2011 is to swatch all the nail polish I hauled before buying any more. Lollipop is a lovely cream polish that is similar to China Glaze's Something Sweet with an ever so slightly purple tinge. I really do love this colour, application was pretty good. The photo above was taken with 2 coats. My only slight problem is it chipped faster than I would have liked, but then again I am really rough with my hands so I can never get nail polish to last very long. In any event, it is a lovely colour.
Sarziohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03350349438074542264noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192843227448284549.post-15339840318450791992011-01-21T23:27:00.003-07:002011-01-21T23:29:08.217-07:00A Bit of Burt's: Chapstick and Cuticle Cream Review

A little while back I got this lovely winter pick me up kit from one of my friends for my birthday (thanks again :) ) Anyways so far it has been an absolute life saver throughout the deep freezes we have experienced which have been very drying for my lips and nails. The lip balm has especially impressed me and taken over the prestige of my prior favourite lip balm (which you could only get in Germany, so i'm not really complaining since Burt's Bees is a lot more accessible). Without further ado, onto the review!

I've actually used this product for years, so I was happy to get a travel sized version for on the go cuticle maintenance especially because the winters where I live are incredibly dry and windy which can wreck absolute havoc on your skin, nails, hair, eyes, everything! I'll admit this product can be a little greasy, but then again that is kind of the point. The one benefit to that (aside from the inherent moisturizing factor) is it helps facilitate quick stray nail polish removal since it provides a barrier between your skin and the wet nail polish. Perhaps the best selling feature is the scent. Absolutely amazing for anyone who likes fruity and citrus scents. At the very least you must go and smell this product!

This stuff smells amazing, is nice and moisturizing providing a nice slip on the lips without being sticky or waxy. It delivers a natural shine and has helped me protect my lips in the dry windy winters that I face. Honestly I would recommend this lip balm to anyone who likes mango scented products. I like to use it on its own or at the beginning of my makeup routine to provide a moisturized base for other lip products.
Sarziohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03350349438074542264noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192843227448284549.post-53762341263890851132010-12-14T21:25:00.003-07:002010-12-14T21:37:04.644-07:00Clean and Clear: Makeup Dissolving Wipes Review

Like many of you out there, I sometimes am too tired to get every last speck of makeup of my face before crawling into bed, now obviously this is not a habit to get into, but it happens. To reduce the temptation to go to sleep without at least attempting to get most of my makeup off I like to keep some makeup wipes beside my bed. Recently I tried and finished Clean and Clear's: Makeup Dissolving Facial Cleansing Wipes. After finishing the whole pack of wipes I have a few thoughts that I thought would be helpful to share. Since I like to hold products accountable to their claims I will start by saying that they advertise that these wipes: "Instantly dissolve dirt, oil and makeup. Even waterproof mascara." They are also oil free. So with that in mind on to the review.

Pros:

* Scent:These wipes had a nice clean almost cucumberish scent.

* Gentle on Skin: They didn't cause any negative reactions with my somewhat sensitive skin and were pretty gentle around the eye area.

* Effective on Eyeshadow, Blush and Concealer: They had no problem removing eyeshadow and left over concealer. I can't really comment on their efficacy in regards to foundation since I do not wear any, but I would imagine these wipes wouldn't have any trouble with that, especially at the end of the day.

Neutral:

*Price: If I remember correctly these wipes were between $7.00 and $8.00 which would put the price per sheet between $0.28-$0.38. Many people consider M.A.C. wipes to be rather expensive however if you break them down price wise as well you are paying between $0.31 (for the bulk pack)- $0.47 (normal pack) Canadian per sheet. Given these numbers you can see that a bulk pack of M.A.C wipes is comparable price wise to the Clean and Clear which to my knowledge does not offer a bulk size.

*Size: The Wipes are pretty standard size wise.

Cons:

*Closure on packaging: Unfortunately the only thing that is keeping these wipes sealed is a sticker closure that begins to lose it's stickyness after a couple of uses. Unfortunately this prevents the wipes from remaining clean and free of outside dirt, bacteria, etc... and also results in the last couple of wipes starting to dry out. * Ineffective at removing Mascara (particularly waterproof): Additionally these wipes did not do a good job of removing water proof mascara (Lash Blast Waterproof if you are curious) which is frustrating because they advertise the ability to remove this type of mascara. They did remove about half of the mascara, but left a fair amount on my lashes which is not ideal if you are trying to remove the mascara gently without having to resort to scrapping it with your finger nails.

Overall: Unfortunately I can't really recommend these wipes especially because of the closure on the packaging. Thus I will continue to search for something that has a better closure and doesn't dwindle on the moisture front as you approach the bottom of the pack.

Icescape Lipglass: Sheer Pale Pink with Pearl (LE)- This colour is really cool because of the pink pearl that catches the light nicely.
Bare Study Paintpot: Soft Beige with Gold Pearl: A very useful base that although shimmery on it's own doesn't impart too much shimmer to the shadows that you may layer on top.
Zoomlash Mascara Mini: Zoom Black: Personally I am still not a fan of the formula as I find it makes my lashes clump together and look spidery.

Overall I am pleased with the set I chose, although the other sets also have nice colours. The packaging is really nice because you can take out the plastic insert and use the tin to hold brushes, liners, etc... or even use it for pencils and pens.
Rarely a day goes by where I don't put on mascara, because of this I have some pretty specific things I like to see in my mascara which are roughly as follows:
* Tinting- As I have mentioned before I have pretty light lashes that are blonde on the tips, thus having a nice tint is important.
* Separating- Personally I don't think there is anything cute about clumpy lashes, and when my eyelashes do get clumped together I do absolutely everything in more power to revert this problem.
* Volume- I'm not going for the thickest lashes in the world, but I do prefer when I am able to build some volume at the bash of my lashes and then gradually fade out. This is important to me because I am lazy and don't usually wear eyeliner (especially along the lash line) so it's nice when you can get a little definition along the lash line and colour to your lashes all in one step.

With this in mind I have decided to compare some of the pros and cons of the various mascaras I have come across in my life to hopefully help others avoid purchasing a mascara that drives them nuts. First up is the famed: CoverGirl LashBlast Volume (waterproof)

According to the CoverGirl Website LashBlast Volume (Waterproof) mascara is supposed to:
Get a blast of bold, volumized lashes - rain or shine! LashBlast's patented volume-boosting formula and patent-pending brush are designed to max-out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big lash look. In original, non-waterproof, too!

Instant volume, Resists water and smudging, Hypoallergenic and suitable for contact lense wearers.

Available in: Blackest Black, Black and Black Brown

I first decided to try this mascara because of all the hype i'd come across on YouTube and in the blogging community. In the past i've had success with drugstore mascara, but more recently I have tended to prefer higher end brands. In any event I was definitely going into this with an open mind, hoping LashBlast would work as well for me as it has for others. Unfortunately, after trying this mascara out for a couple months now, I can say without hesitation that I have used better mascara before and I will not be repurchasing.

Pros:
* Price: Since LashBlast is from the drugstore it is pretty affordable

* Flat top on Wand: As I am sure most of you have experienced before, sometimes mascara can accumulate on the tip of the wand and if you aren't careful it can transfer to unwanted place, fortunately the wand on this particular product is flat which makes wiping away any excess a lot easier and leaves less mascara accumulating on the side of the opening.

Neutral:
* Water Resistant, not Waterproof Formula: I don't find this formula to be truly "waterproof", it's definitely water resistant, and a bit tricky to get off (even with makeup remover) but if you have a shower and get water on your face you are probably going to end up with raccoon eyes, so this wouldn't be my first choice for a day at the beach. However, since I actually meant to get the original version, falling short on the waterproof front doesn't really affect my overall opinion too much.

* Formula in general: Personally I didn't find the formual to be particularly outstanding, certainly not worthy of all the praise others seem to have been giving it, however it is not bad.

Cons:
* Scent: Usually scent doesn't bother me too much, but this stuff really stinks. I wouldn't mind if it was a perfume scent of some kind, but it smells really chemically and synthetic and just generally not something I want reeking near my nose. I can even smell it a few minutes after I put it on which is definitely not an attractive feature for me. I also think it poses a problem for eye safety because I usually use scent to help determine whether or not it is time to pitch a product (granted I usually use up mascara fairly regularly and thus throw it out every few months) scent is still incredibly important and I am not convinced that I would be able to tell when this product had "gone off"

* Brush: First of all, I normally prefer brushes that are a little bigger, but this brush drives me absolutely nuts! Not only is it massive, and rather difficult to use in precise areas, but the plastic bristles do not do a good job of separating the lashes. In fact, after months of testing this out, I have still not been able to satisfactorally get separated lashes. Even when I try to put it close to the base of my lashes and gently wiggle to help add volume and separation I don't get the results I am looking for and usually end up getting mascara dots on my eye lid from the plastic bristles. As anyone who has experienced this before can vouch, this is incredibly frustrating and in spite of my efforts to be extra cautious I generally end up with little spots of mascara where I don't want them and then have to touch up my eye makeup. Furthermore I don't think this product lives up the the claims, especially in regards to volume. I also think it is very difficult to apply mascara to bottom lashes with this clumsy brush.

Overall: I am not a huge fan of this mascara, and would not really reccommend it to anyone because of the difficulty in manoeuvering the brush and the tendency for clumping and mascara dotting onto the eyelid and crease and the very strong chemical scent. Perhaps if they changed the brush and fixed the scent I would reconsider, but then again I really believe there are better mascaras out there, both in the drugstore and elsewhere.

For those of you who have tried the original, I am curious as to whether or not you have had similar results. Not the most exciting or pigmented lipstick that M.A.C has to offer, but it is definitely a very wearable everyday colour.

Again not the most exciting colour, but it is a very versatile baby pink that can be worn on its own for just a bit of sparkle or layered to add a bit of sparkle and shine without changing the colour of the product underneath that much.
I actually really considered picking this up the first time it launched because M.A.C really doesn't have a great range of light pink lipliners. I recently received a package of nail polish I purchased from Transdesign which included this lovely halloween appropriate polish (I will add a haul post and swatches shortly). Needless to say I rushed to put Mummy May I on because if I wasn't going to get to participate in Halloween festivities this year I was atleast going to have some fun nail polish on! Application is a touch tricky (as with most glitter polishes) but with 2-3 coats one can achieve an even, opaque application. I really do love this nail polish because although it is essentially black purple with purple glitter, it didn't make my hands look funny which black polish occasionally does. All in all I am pretty pleased with this polish, I would reccommend using a thicker top coat to get a smooth layer over the glitter.

Venomous Villains is here!!! I have been waiting for this collection for quite some time, and after all the eager anticipation, stalking of beauty forums and pouring over swatch photos the in store launch day finally came! I went first thing yesterday to my local M.A.C counter and picked up quite a few beautiful products, and tested out pretty much the whole launch.

Cruella:
Eyeshadow:
Sweet Joy: Frosty creamy pale gold(Frost)(LE)
De-vil: Rich copper (Veluxe Pearl)(LE)
Carbon: Intense black (Matte)(Permanent)
From my own personal swatching I think De-vil is definitely the best quality of the LE shades, although I still think you can find something similar to both Sweet Joy and De-vil within the regular line or existing palettes that you have, so if you are on a budget these shadows can be easily skipped. With that said, De-vil is still a really nice colour and of course being a veluxe pearl, swatches like a dream.

Penultimate Eye Liner:
Rapid Black: True Black
I already purchased this a while back and while I do like that it has a skinnier tip which for those of us who can be a bit eyeliner challenged at times is great, I wish the marker part was a bit stiffer. I also wish the liner itself was a touch more black. I still think this is a decent product, but since it is part of the permanent line, it is not something you need to rush out and buy tomorrow.
Lipstick:
Innocence, Beware: Light yellow pink (Cremesheen)(LE)
Heartless: Cherry red (Amplified)(LE)
Both lipsticks are quite nice and have a great finish to them. Innocence, Beware is a nice apricot pink nude with a bit of sheen. In regards to M.A.C. products it is probably most similar to Creme de Nude. It also reminded me personally of GOSH darling lipstick. As someone who has personally never been huge on nude lipsticks, I do think this would be a nice way to get into that look because it won't make you look too "dead". Heartless is a beautiful red. I personally think it is about as "plain red" as most lipsticks get. I don't think it leans too blue or too orange. It has a nice sheen to it without being too glossy.

Lipglass:
Devilishly Stylish: Light nude with gold pearl (LE)
Wicked Ways: Deep fuchsia with pink pearl (LE)
Once again both shades are quite lovely and would look great layered on top of their complimenting lipstick from this part of the collection. Devilishly stylish is more apricot toned than it's lipstick counterpart. I kind of reminded me of a slightly lighter, shimmery, lipgloss version of Bare Slimshine. Wicked Ways is a lovely cherry red colour that does lean a bit more pink, but in my mind is still red. I compared it to Venetian lustreglass which is definitely much more of a neutral red in comparison.

Powder Blush:
Darkly My Dear: Dirty brown plum (LE)
Not my favourite product in the Cruella range, but then again it is more suited to darker, warmer skin tones than my own. If used correctly I could see this working out well as a contour colour.

Beauty Powder:
Her Own Devices: Cool nude (LE)
Once again this wasn't my favourite product, but that has more to do with my general avoidance of nude products. I think this would pair nicely with Darkly My Dear if it was used as a highlight.
Eyeshadow:
Her Alter Image: Light violet (Veluxe Pearl)(LE)
Vainglorious: Bronze burgundy (Frost)(LE)
Vile Violet: Deep dirty blue purple (Matte)(LE)

These shadows are all quite nice for fall, although personally I didn't find them to be quite unique enough to purchase (in light of all the other things screaming for my attention). I think Her Alter Image is quite similar to Beautiful Iris which is part of the permanent line (both are also veluxe pearl shades which is lovely). Vainglorious is a nice rich fall colour, but is again similar to Star Violet, and also being repromoted during the holidays. Vile Violet is a pretty purple, and although some have compared it to Poison Pen, I don't personally find them as dupeable as other people have claimed. I think Poison Pen is much cooler and more dusty grey than Vile Violet which in my mind has a bit more of a reddish tone to it which Poison Pen absolutely does not have. A nice shade, but I have far too many purples to justify buying another at the moment.

Penultimate Brow Marker:
Universal: Universal
Personally I don't think i've had enough exposure to this product to really talk about it, but I do know that there were happy to see it re-promoted.

Lipstick:
Toxic Tale: Bright Coral (Satin)(LE)
Sinister: Soft Brown Plum (Lustre)(LE)
Toxic Tale is definitely a daring shade, a very bright coral that if anything leans more orangey than pink. I don't think it would look the best on lighter skin tones, however I have seen in on medium and darker complexions where it has looked quite nice. Sinister didn't really do that much for me, but again I think it would be a good shade on medium and darker skin tones.

Lipglass:
Strange Potion: Soft coral pink (LE)
Hot House: Deep raspberry with pink pearl (LE)

Both of these Lipglasses were pretty shades indeed. Strange Potion is fairly aptly described although I don't find it to be particularly pink in tone. My friend Andrea and I compared it to Beaute which is a similar shade although a bit brighter and of course more shimmer in comparison to Strange Potion which is more of a cream. Hot House is another lovely colour although I found it quite close to Fierce and Fabulous which I already own. For those of you who don't have a similar colour already in your collection I would definitely recommend checking Hot House out!

Beauty Powder:
Oh So Fair: Clean pink with gold pearl (LE)

A great product out there for lighter skinned folks either as a highlighter or as a soft blush. Personally I've been a fan of Beauty Powders since I first picked up Sunsparked Pearl years ago with the Lure colelction.

Powder Blush:
Bite of an Apple: Soft coral pink (LE)

Personally to me this doesn't swatch particularly coral, if anything on me it is a reddish coral. I think the best way to describe it is as a "just in from the cold flush". Quite a lovely product.

I'm going to start things off by being kind of a nerd and letting you know how much I LOVE Bad Fairy... Seriously I don't think a nail polish has made me this happy in a long time. All of these polishes are quite cool with the colour changing aspect but Bad Fairy is hands down the nicest and most unique in my opinion. Others have suggested that Formidable and Mean & Green have convincing dupes in the ORLY Cosmic collection that has just come out, so if you can only afford one polish make it Bad Fairy!!!! Also the swatches provided on the M.A.C website are terrible representations of the product. The product images themselves are much more accurate. Application is a little tricky and I had to use 3 coats to get my desired opacity and evenness, but since I love this shade soo much I was willing to put in the extra effort. I would be interested to see what these polishes would look like with one light coat over another solid colour.
Sephora had an absolutely fantastic deal on a great set of full-sized products from Benefit that are absolutely perfect for the summer! These products are perfect for achieving a summer glow! I know I should have posted this ages ago, but I checked the Sephora site today and they are selling them again (still for $35.00 US which is an AMAZING deal!)

Legally Bronze includes the following full sized products:
0.4 oz Hoola- A natural bronzing powder.
0.45 oz Highbeam- A luminescent complexion enhancer.
0.08 oz Gilded- A golden jumbo eye pencil (no longer available outside of this set).
0.19oz BADgal Brown- A deep-brown mascara that creates mile-high lashes.
Hoola Face Powder:

Hoola is a nice matte bronzer that is good for light to medium skin tones in particular. It is fairly pigmented so make sure you don't pack too much on your brush otherwise you will end up looking like an over bronzed mess. Hoola is particularly good to use if you already have shimmer or frost elsewhere on your face.

Highbeam:
Highbeam is a nice champagne pink highlighting product that is quite easy to work with. Generally I just put a couple dots on the tops on my cheek bones following an arc that ends under my brows... (I realize this description probably sounds weird, but I can't think of another way to describe it.) It is very easy to blend in with your fingertips (or a brush) and isn't over powering. I really like how much control you have over product placement with the brush as this helps you avoid wasting product or getting too much shimmer on your face.
Gilded Eye Pencil:
A nice mid toned gold pencil that I have mainly used to add a pop of gold into the tear duct area, or as a standard liner. I am sure you could use this as a base (although I would definitely recommend blending it out with your fingers or a brush to avoid creasing). A nice addition to the set.
BADgal Brown Mascara:
While this mascara isn't my favourite, I don't really have too many knocks against it. The brush is pretty average as is the formula. I would suggest that this mascara is better for depositing colour and perhaps adding a bit of length rather than providing too much volume.

Overall Thoughts:
Overall I still think this is an absolutely fantastic value set! Hoola is $28.00 US alone so for paying only $7.00 getting 3 more full sized products is an absolute steal (This set is of course more expensive in Canada, but the same "ratios of value" apply). I also think this set is quite good for most skin tones (although those of you out there with really dark skin may not get as much use out of hoola as it is pretty light as far as bronzers go.) If any of these products have interested you in the past I would highly recommend checking this set out!
I purchased this palette from Haute Look quite a few months ago and didn't really get around to testing it until recently on a vacation. Although the palette is now rather difficult to find, everything in it is part of Urban Decay's permanent collection (with many of the shades making appearances in other palettes) so I thought a review and some swatches would still be useful. So without further ado here is my review.
Personally I do like this palette and think it is good for travelling because it has some good basic very wearable colours with a bit of fun with the addition of Flip Side. I also liked the addition of Bourbon and Sin and of course having a mirror in your palette is always nice (and allowed me to do my makeup in the back seat of a car while en route to a family friends house whilst on vacation). With all that said, I don't think this is the perfect palette for two reasons: it's a bit too frosty for my liking and it doesn't provide you with a good highlight shade. Twice baked is not as frosty, but it still has glitter in it and atleast for my purposes I only really use a bit of it to deepen the outer v and a bit in the crease or under the lower lashline so it doesn't really take away from the over all frost of a look. With that said I still really love all of the colours and do think they work very well together. The texture and pigmentation are quite good on all of them, especially Half Baked and Baked.
Needless to say I've been hooked on the brand ever since. I have since purchased and used up a full Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Butter, several of their candles both for myself and as gifts and more recently their Brazilian Mango Grapefruit Gift Set and Bali Lime Papaya Body Wash.

Before I get on to reviewing the products I have tried I must comment briefly on the brand itself. Not only do I love their scents and products offered, but I really like the way they choose to run their operations. Pacifica is a vegan company that does not test on animals and does not use many of the somewhat dubious chemicals such as: Parabens, Sulfates, Propylene Glycol, Phthalates, GMOs, Triclosan and Petro-chemicals. The wicks in their candles are lead free and they work really hard to use both soy and parafin wax that would have otherwise gone to waste in their products. To some people all of these things may not mean much, but given the amount of waste and toxic chemicals that we come into contact on a daily basis already, if you can find a company that goes above and beyond to eliminate these nasty things from their products that work great and smell amazing then why not support them? To me it's really refreshing to see a company that is so commited to being environmentally sustainable and cruelty free even if it means that their production costs might be a little bit higher than competitors who do not take these steps. For more information on the brand and their practises click here

At this point whether through my store, or my personal use of Pacifica products I have almost come into contact with all of their scents and available product offerings and up to this point I have not been disappointed by the quality at all. While there are a few scents I'm not completely in love with, that is more of a personal preference thing than an issue of quality. Since they do have quite a range of products to talk about I'm going to divided this review up by catagory of products and then go into the scents I have encountered so far.
I was originally introduced to the brand through the Hawaiian Ruby Guava gift set and have since purchased the Brazilian Mango Grapefruit set which is another wonderful scent.
They are packaged in small tins with a coordinating colour and graphics that are unique to each scent. They are 10 grams or .33 oz and absolutely perfect for throwing in your makeup bag or purse. I've had my Hawaiian Ruby Guava solid perfume for a couple of years now, and took it with it me travelling to Europe and I must say it was an absolute life saver on the plane! The scent payoff is quite good, and although they may not be quite as noticeable as a spray perfume, they still pack a punch. They are great for touching up your fragrance or being used alone. You don't need to use a lot so although the product itself is very compact it will last you a while. It's also not sticky or greasy and absorbs into the skin quickly which is great. The solid perfumes are currently available in the following scents: Avalon Juniper, Bali Lime Papaya, Brazilian Mango Grapefruit, Egyptian Bergamont Rose, French Lilac, Hawaiian Ruby Guava, Lotus Garden, Madagascar Spice, Malibu Lemon Blossom, Mediterranean Fig, Mexican Cocoa, Nerola Orange Blossom, Sandal Wood, Spanish Amber, Tahitian Gardenia, Thai Lemongrass, Tibetan Mountain Temple, Tunisian Jasmine, Tuscan Blood Orange, Vanilla Vera Cruz, and Waikiki Pikaki.
I recently got a chance to put it to the test and so far I like it. The body washes are 17oz (500ml) and produce a nice lather with a scent that lingers on the skin hours after without being over powering. These body washes are also available at some Sephoras (although not sadly not yet in Canada). Available scents include: Bali Lime Papaya, Brazillian Mango Grapefruit, Hawaiian Ruby Guava, Lotus Garden, Malibu Lemon Blossom, Tahitian Gardenia, and Tuscan Blood Orange.
These perfumes contain natural denatured grain alcohol (from corn), contain no parabens, animal products, animal ingredients, or artificial colours. As usual they are not tested on animals and are 100% vegan and gluten free. The perfume bottles contain 1oz of perfume. Personally I wish they had a cap on the top, but other than that I don't really have any complaints. I find that they last quite a while so you don't have to worry about your scent fading throughout the day. If you do like to reapply your perfume throughout the day these are small enough that they are easy to tote around or ofcourse you could refresh your scent with one of their solid perfumes. Scents offered include: Thai Lemon Grass, French Lilac, Tahitian Gardenia, Nerola Orange Blossom, Wakiki Pikaki, Tuscan Blood Orange, Brazilian Mango Grapefruit, Mediterranean Fig, Hawaiian Ruby Guava, Bali Lime Papaya, Malibu Lemon Blossom, Vanilla Vera Cruz, Spanish Amber, Sandalwood, Tibetan Mountain Temple, Avalon Juniper, Mexican Cocoa, Madagascar Spice, Tunisian Jasmine, Lotus Garden, California Star Jasmine, and Persian Rose.

Quick Scent Round Up: So if you cruise on Pacifica's website, or find their products in store you will quickly find that they have quite an impressive range of scents. Their scents can generally be broken up into 4 different catagories: Florals, Fruit, Herbal & Spice and Wood scents. Being a fruit scent lover myself I am very much a fan of their fruit fragrances, but there are definitely some scents within the other catagories that have caught my attention.

Fruit Fragrances: Bali Lime Papaya, Brazilian Mango Grapefruit, Hawaiian Ruby Guava, Mediterranean Fig, & Tuscan Blood Orange.
It is not overly citrusy and smells very clean. Lime is definitely the dominant note, but it is tamed a bit with the addition of lime blossoms and papaya. A very nice well rounded scent that is fruity and fresh.

Brazilian Mango Grapefruit is pretty strong but absolutely amazing! Mango and grapefruit to create this wonderful scent that also has a touch of pineapple, peach and apricot. A perfect summer scent!

Hawaiian Ruby Guava is one of my favourites, again it is pretty strong but not overpowering. To me this fragrance is just alive. Grapefruit, guava and coconut oil come together to produce another wonderful scent that I think any fruit lover must smell!

Mediterranean Fig is an interesting scent and definitely not over poweringly fruity. It is a very green scent if that makes sense... kind of earthy while still retaining the freshness of fruit. It's not my favourite scent by Pacifica but I do think it is interesting and know many people who quite enjoy it.

Tuscan Blood Orange: is really quite lovely. Orange is aptly the dominant note but again the sharpness of citrus is mellowed out. This fragrance is very layered and takes a couple whiffs to get the effect of each layer. I particularly love this scent as a candle.

Floral Fragrances: French Lilac, Lotus Garden, Malibu Lemon Blossom, Nerola Orange Blossom, Tahitian Gardenia, Tunisian Jasmine, & Waikiki Pikaki.
Herbal & Spice Fragrances: Bourbon Island Vanilla, Egyptian Bergamont Rose, Madagascar Spice, Mexican Cocao, Thai Lemon Grass, Vanilla Vera Cruz, & Zanzibar Cinnamon Almond.

Wooden & Resin Fragrances: Avalon Juniper, Russian Fir, Sandalwood, Spanish Amber, & Tibetan Mountain Temple.
Needless to say it was like christmas in July when these lovelies arrived at my doorstep (and the subsequent CCO haul from my friend that I just got last night and will blog about shortly). From my original haul I got 2 Zoya polishes, a China Glaze, Essie and my first ORLY polish (The M.A.C polish is from CCO). I will definitely be posting swatches and a more in depth review of each polish as I get a chance to test them out, but as a teaser I have some cool diagonal nail art that I quickly threw on after receiving my package which included each of my new colours mixed in with some old favourites... so without further ado... ENJOY!
So my apologies, this is a bit late, but I feel like the information is still worth sharing with you, especially since I am quite fond of this collection. Personally I am really into creme polishes of late, so when I saw China Glaze was offering an entirely creme collection I was very happy. The collection consists of 12 polishes which are suitable for both Spring and Summer (if you like to match your polish to the season). First I will talk about the polishes that I have purchased thus far...
This Spring / Summer we have seen quite a few companies such as Essie and ORLY release light pastel green shades, but in my opinion none of them are quite true to a mint green. China Glaze has however hit the nail on the head with this very interesting shade of nail polish. I personally really enjoy this shade, and it definitely received a lot of attention when I wore it. Application was pretty good, as long as you are careful not to get too much on your brush. As I've found with most China Glaze polishes it is sometimes better to get thinner coats to keep everything even and help it stay flaw free when you put on your top coat. Wear was also pretty good, and I believe I got at least 5 days of wear before it really started to experience substantial chippage, which for me is pretty good because I am pretty rough on my hands.

China Glaze- Refreshmint

Sugar High: The best way I can describe this shade is as a bright medium pink that has more of a coral base. This colour is perfect for summer and I've already worn it a couple of times on my nails and toes...Application like all of the polishes from the collection that I've tried out was quite good as was the wear... Unfortunately I have yet to take a proper full swatch of it yet, but I will put one up the next time I wear it to give you a more complete picture of how this polish looks. (In the mean time, feel free to consult my "skittle" photo with all the polishes i've bought at the top.

Heli-yum: Another cool colour that is once again perfect for Summer. I like to describe it as a raspberry based red which makes it more interesting than just a straight up red. Once again application and wear were pretty good. I will be adding a full manicure swatch as soon as I can.

Something Sweet: Is a polish that I have seen a lot on beauty blogs and what not and decided I would pick it up after seeing some nice swatches... From what I can tell right now it is almost like a cotton candy coloured pink. Once again I will add a more complete review and swatches when I get it in the mail (which will hopefully be soon!)

UPDATE: So I got this nail polish in the mail not too long ago and wore it for about a week. It's a nice light pink colour that is quite flattering. This swatch is after a couple of days of wear because I wanted a natural light shot.

China Glaze- Something Sweet

Peachy Keen: Peach and orange nail polishes seem to be pretty big this year and China Glaze obviously did not to miss out on this trend. I have not seen it in person, but through other blogs and what not it appears that it is a pretty orangey peach shade.

Light as Air: Again another huge trend recently has been lavender and lilac nail polishes... From what i've seen this one looks like a dusty lavender creme that is pretty light and perfect for a soft spring manicure.

Lemon Fizz: Again with the light "Easter colours" Lemon Fizz is a light, pale yellow that I have considered picking up and may still do so.

High Hopes: Back to the brighter summer shades, from what i've seen this looks like a very pigmented bright orangey-pink coral colour. I have a feeling this one would look great as a pedicure with some cute sandals.

Happy Go Lucky: Is a bright sunshiney yellow that is definitely not for the faint of heart, but still a cool colour that would probably be useful to have especially for nail art purposes

Grape Pop: Another colour I have been considering trying to pick up because from what i've seen it's a pretty unique shade of blue based purple that would be an excellent edition to anyone who loves purples collection.

Four Leaf Clover: Is yet another fantastic colour that I have been thinking about getting because it looks to be almost a perfect green, great for St. Patrick's day inspired manicures or for anyone who enjoys bright. bold, polishes.

Flyin' High: This colour from swatches online reminds me of another shade by China Glaze, Shower Together... because of that, I feel like this shade is less unique than some of the other shades, and thus it may not be as imperative to pick up if you are trying to fill in your collection color wise. With that said it still looks nice.

As you can probably tell through the round up, I quite enjoyed the colours China Glaze came up with for this collection. I feel like there is a good mix of Spring and Summer shades, and so far I have not had any problems with application or with wear. I will definitely keep you updates when I receive Something Sweet in the mail and if I decide to go out and get any of the other polishes.

UPDATE: I did pick up 3 more colours since my original post: Lemon Fizz, Grape Pop and Something Sweet. I am still thinking about getting Four Leaf Clover and Peachy Keen but until then here is an updated photo of the collection.

Sorry for such a delay on this post, it's been busy! All in all I quite enjoyed this collection, almost everything was really nicely pigmented and as expected. The packaging (both primary and the cartons) was adorable!

Liberty of London Eyeshadow:
Give Me Liberty of London: Flat creamy pink (Matte)(LE)- A really nice lighter pink that is almost like a neutral in the sense that you could wear it with almost anything.
Dame's Desire: Frosty mid-toned red dish purple (Frost)(LE)- I'm a sucker for purples, and this is definitely an nice option, although since I already have soo many and am more into matte and satin shades at the moment I passed.
Bough Grey: Mid toned bluish grey (Satin)(LE)-- Another nice shade, especially since grey is such an "in" colour at the moment. When my friend Andrea and I were swatching we didn't really find anything in the permanent line that was quite like Bough Grey.
Free To Be: Creamy true coral (Matte)-- Not my favourite shade of the bunch, but that's largely because I am picky about coral and prefer it to be more pink based.
Birds and Berries: Frosted dark green blue (Veluxe Pearl)(LE)-- Probably my favourite shade of the bunch, very pretty!

Liberty of London Lipstick:
Blooming Lovely: Creaming greyed lilac mauve (Amplified)(LE)- Another lovely shade that although a bit more daring is a more wearable lilac. Since it is an Amplified the finish is absolutely wonderful to apply, very pigmented.
Peachstock: Neutral peach (Satin)(Pro)-- Neutral peach is definitely the best way I can describe this shade.
Ever Hip: Creamy light coral (Cremesheen)(LE)-- Another nice shade that was nicely pigmented and smooth.
Petals & Peacocks: Creamy bright magenta pink (Amplified)(LE)-- A very bright shade, but definitely my favourite of the bunch. It is quite similar to Show Orchid without the "veluxe pearl like" finish. On the plus side this shade can be toned down with a lighter application for those out there who might want to ease into the super bright shades. Once again the pigmentation and application are a dream.
English Accents: Creamy midtoned blue pink (LE)
Frankly Fresh: Neutral pink beige with soft pearl (LE)
Perennial High Style: Creamy bright pink coral (LE)
A Different Groove: Deep purple brown with pearl (LE)

Liberty of London Powder Blush:
Prim & Proper: Neutral nude (LE)-- Personally I was hoping for a better hilight shade out of this, definitely not my favourite part of the collection.
Dirty Plum: Sheer dark plum (LE)-- Again I was slightly disappointed with the colour of this product, but then again I've never been a huge fan of super dark purple face products.

Liberty of London Beauty Powder:
Shell Pearl: Pale peach with gold pearl (LE)-- A lovely peachy-coral hilight colour!
Summer Rose: Soft violet pink with pearl (LE)--This product read quite similar to Azalea Blossom swirled together on my skin, albeit a little less cool toned. As far as Beauty Powders go, Summer Rose is quite pigmented.

Liberty of London Nail Laquer:
Vestral White: Creamy white (Cream)(LE)-- A nice white polish that doesn't make your hands look dead.
Blue India: Dark green blue with pearl (Cream)(LE)-- Another nice shade, quite unique too.
Since it is a "neon" in formula (not necessarily in appearance since it has a subtle shimmer) thinner coats were the key to success here. I used 3 thin coats to achieve this level of pigmentation and eveness. Another note, this polish is a satin finish on its own (although I think it looks much nicer with a shiny topcoat). The polish is perhaps a touch more green than photographed.
